Sagittarius A Star

A real monster

By Mark Stigers Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

I am a monster black hole.

Supermassive am I.

I am the Milky Way’s soul-

get too close to me and you’ll die.

I will eat anything in sight;

in me all will disappear.

I will consume even light;

know me and know fear.

Nothing can escape my grasp;

There is nothing you can do.

Nearby stars around me I clasp-

there is no hope for the likes of you.

I have the mass of two million suns;

next to me you do not measure.

I consume matter by the ton-

to eat the earth would be my pleasure.

I am not on the side of the devil,

nor does good guide my deeds.

Fear me at the cosmic level,

because on anything I’ll feed.
