Sage Burning and Negativity
*This poem is about burning sage and finding inner peace.

Hater of sage.
Spreader of negative energy.
The moment when everything makes perfect sense.
Sage is a natural repellant for those who wish to bring chaos into your home.
I burn sage mixed with lavender to clear the space.
To clear my soul.
To push the negative energy out into the street where it will be run over by passing cars like discarded empty cigarette packs.
The smoke is so thick in here that I can’t see across the room.
The sage smoke will permeate my furniture and belongings with its woodsy aroma.
I can’t find my way out of this sanctuary I have created for myself.
Nor do I want to leave.
I am alone with only my thoughts and healing.
With Lava Lamps and inner peace.
My Himalayan Salt Rock Lamp glows a pale shade of pink through the smoke and feelings as I melt the stresses of my world away.
A purple striped caterpillar will soon appear with a cherry scented hooka to share with me.
Sage burning and pushing out negativity.
I find comfort in an elevated state of mind.
I breathe in the sage smoke and instantly feel a sense of calm.
A sense of embracing the earth and positive things around me that I don’t normally take the time to stop and marvel at.
My expansive book collection that I will never have enough hours to read every page of.
Thrift store dresses that fit like a glove but I have not worn outside of my home yet.
Playing dress up in my own closet with shoes I have not unboxed in many years, but still fit my feet perfectly.
Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that matter.
Moments alone.
A sense of relaxation.
Taking naps with my cats.
Gardenia scented bubble baths.
Dead Sea face masks made my Freeman Beauty and a cup of hot peppermint tea.
Sage destroys the negativity that surrounds me.
It helps me to melt into furniture and be at one with nature.
It helps me to listen to my inner voice.
To communicate with my guardian angel.
Spa days and sage burning give me a longer fuse in life.
They are simply a coping mechanism on a road to inner peace.
Buy some sage today and find that inner peace you have been longing for.
