Sacrifice for Freedom

In a dark age,

I sacrificed you not with my heart,

But because the bond of love for the country was stronger than the love for my mother.

For the freedom of the motherland,

To cast off the dark shadows,

To stand up for the freedom of the motherland,

With courage and nobility!

Even though you are my son,

I bow to you,

Because the lifeblood of not only my future but also the lifeblood of the country rests on you.
