In the heart of Sacramento, tragedy struck
Gunshots ringing out, chaos and fear amok
Lives forever changed, families torn apart
The pain and grief etched deep in every heart
But in the face of darkness, hope still remains
A community rising up to ease the pains
Candles flicker, illuminating the night
As we come together to honor and unite
We remember the victims, their names we speak
Their lives cut short, our tears do leak
We pray for their families, their healing and peace
May their memories live on, may their pain one day cease
We demand action, for this cannot be the norm
Our voices united, gun violence must be torn
From the fabric of our society, for we cannot ignore
The lives that have been lost, the pain that we abhor
Sacramento strong, we stand together
A community of love, forever and ever
Let us honor the fallen, with a commitment to change
To ensure that their lives were not taken in vain.
