Rushing into Something or Holding Back?

Only you will know.

By Christine LopezPublished 8 years ago 2 min read

Are you really rushing into something or holding yourself back?

Personally, I tend to hold back based on others.

I've become aware of how much another's opinion of who you are or what you are doing is really none of their business.

Yet I always tend to seek others opinions.

Thinking, "well they okay'd it" or "they gave me good advice I'll take it."

But that was their decision and this is my life, not theirs.

You can't expect others to know what is right for you.

Yes they may have experience and may be wise and you can listen and take something from it,

but that's when you have to be able to know when to be aware.

Aware of yourself.

Because you see,

we can always avoid doing what may be wrong for us, but we can't escape the lessons that are meant for us.

With being raised by always being told what to do, we struggle today with what is true to us.

It's very important you know how to trust yourself without worrying what others may think and how they will judge you.

Sure you may make the wrong decision, but good, that's normal.

Your soul already knew what would happen.

It's a plan you've already agreed to.

Your soul needs you.

It is calling out to you.

I get very frustrated when I am very aware of something and I'm trying to help another see what I see or share what I've learned and they ignore it.

Try to imagine how your true inner self may feel.

We've all felt trapped before so we can relate to our soul feeling captive.

We've all felt the feeling of knowing the truth and no one listening so we can relate to our soul feeling unheard.

We've all once loved so much that we can relate to our souls pain of loving alone.

Start looking within. Listen within.

You don't know what is happening on the inside of you every moment because

You are paying attention to everything outside of you that you forgot who matters most.

Your inner seat of self.

Going within my self, I've come to realize:

I feel if I don't follow what feels right to me in that moment I'll miss a step in my process of growing and receiving each lesson or message that's needed.

Right then and there.

I'd rather choose to face it than prolong my process.

And recently I've believed certain people and situations have pulled me back and distracted me from my path.

Stunted my growth.

But now it only seems right to say,

Hey, that happened and although I know I shouldn't have or didn't have to, it has become a part of who I am.

I have grown either way.

But never being defined by my past,

I've learned to accept it all for what it is.

With that being said,

I'll continue accepting me for me and all that comes and all that is.

For my life isn't over,

and until then I'll continue choosing to go into what crosses my path.
