his wreck of a car parked in the kitchen
hair in the sink still where it had fallen
the cutout shadows where he had left them
his hands moved so fast their maps were blurred
misread. misunderstood. murderous
dramas echoed in fading caws
feathers were clipped
anarchic green moonbeams germinate
wings of oblivious black
the hands of birds never flap frantically
