Footsteps pounding, heart beating fast

The rush of wind, a symphony at last

The world blurs by, a colorful haze

As I hit my stride, my soul amazes

The ground beneath, a steady beat

My feet respond, a rhythmic repeat

The cadence grows, a crescendo high

I feel alive, my spirit starts to fly

Sweat drips down, a salty rain

My muscles burn, but I feel no pain

The thrill of the run, a natural high

I'm free and strong, my spirit starts to fly

With every step, I feel reborn

My feet barely touch, the ground is sworn

To carry me forward, faster still
