irreconcilable differences

it's a dream of a fantasy, crushed by reality.

it's not "not real" just because you only dispute semantics.

we know what was said and what the context was.

it's no misunderstanding - you just don't like who i am.

how can you not see - you only like the idea of me.

it's a thing - when i'm made to feel unwelcomed.

it's a thing - when i'm at fault for doing my best.

it's a thing - a tiger can't change his stripes.

it's a thing - you need to first learn to love your reflection.

it's not my responsibility to reconcile your mind,

and nobody gets to claim mine.

nobody can solve my irreconcilable differences for me.

and it's no loss of yours to be denied what was never yours,

that i demand to be left out of this funhouse of fantasy and martyrdom.

it will only, always ever be about this; Run Around, Needs Drama Yet.
