run

don't walk away

By ⸘jason alan‽Published 2 years ago 1 min read

the villain in someone's story,

but okay with it -

proud even.

once what was right,

doubt was no benefit.

did diligently give more than appropriate

and begged for nothing back.

just wanted to be normal again,

thought, if ever was.

consisted of meticulously crafted persona,

until it broke him.

all insides come out now,

as is,

and now people know

and they knew it first -

how embarrassed,

times of empathic resistence,

ignoring 'that guy' in the mirror,

each one, another mistake.

because he is strange

and obscene

with the foulest of mouths,

yells at the voices inside.

one comprehensive example of traumatized.

a one-sided, double standard,

the diplomatic hypocrit.

release what doesn't serve me anymore

when opposition presented,

quit with undeniable proof;

but, a mountain of it.

ten endings for one new beginning.

broken bindings and evil eyes

the answer is yes.

he is i,

so run,

don't walk away,

or be ready to feel some kind of way.
