Rudolph's Revenge

A Holiday Abecedarian

An AI Generated Image

All noses are not just the same, alas

Beauty is rare among them; most are plain

Countless are the mundane, generic beaks

Damn my own, bioluminescent snout!

Each year, its crimson glow guides this old sleigh

Finding a use for my weird proboscis

Gave me some hope that life could be serene

Ha! With these obnoxious reindeer around?!?

I have grown so weary of their trite games

Joking, of the clumsiest kind, they love

Killing me slowly with their puns and jibes

Leaves me exhausted and forlorn each night

My nose knows they are insipid morons

Now, my secret thoughts have turned dark

Obedient and cheerful though I seem

Private dreams of vengeance swirl in my mind

Questioned, I am cheerful and seem vapid

Reindeer are quick to sniff out any threat

Secretly, I have my eye on Donner

Truly, he is the dimmest of the bulbs

Under the right circumstances, I could

Veer into a storm or a deep chasm

With confidence that he would follow me

Xenophobic twit, he could lead them all

Yammering and clueless, to their doom

Zoom into oblivion, we all will!

Now this is a take on Rudolph I can get behind. Surely he’s in the public domain at this point? Well done!
