I planted a rose
In the Earth so deep
Watered
Pruned
Tended with care
One day
The rains stopped
River dried up
Petals a faded
Memory of past blooms
Yet the thorns cut deep
Cloud's tears well up
Rains wash down
The rose returns
A bloom of love
