Romantic in love with a hopeless dream

Ordering life to appear like fiction

Minus the love, a torturous centime

Athenian only in depiction.

Negating wisdom for the sake of Self

Toiling in the name of having a child

Interfering with books not on her shelf

Cancer of the mind must be belief-wild.

Intending to love her always, she breached

Naxos, heart of the Cyclades, in a cave

Love for the Parthenon was also bleached

Over words of loneliness like a grave.

Visions of body parts since the whole’s gone

Enveloped in Self, she made me a pawn.
