The robins seem confused by the warmer days, wondering where the chill and damp have gone, sensing a mix-up in the shifting seasons. The sky brightened to brilliant blue after the dull gray blankets and mists of fog above the frosted lawns.
They are chattering the lively robin tschk in the trees, knocking off the brown and red leaves, and swallowing tree sweets. Flying from tree to tree and swooping over the street, they are tschking to each other.
As night moves in, a lone male sits in a tree humming his robin goodnight, a lullaby to me.

This is great. I would never be able to figure out how to spell their sounds. 'Tschk' is perfect. I would have messed it up by putting a vowel or two in it. 😂. Beautiful art. ⚡💙 Bill⚡
What an ode to one of my favorite birds and I could hear those Robins singing.
What a lovely visual you created on these cute little birds.
Robins are one of the birds that thrive, their sounds mean spring to me and that makes me happy
I love this. Especially the “tree sweets”
Despite winter here in Anchorage we still have robins and have had for over a decade. How they manage is beyond me. They bring duch hopeful joy to my heart. Your male surely sweetens your sort of winter there. Thanks for the lullaby. I felt it.
What Lana said basically..I always love when I dip into your nature inspired poems because I am sometimes down on that as a concept but you do them exceptionally well and I always feel like we still get a bit of Andi in them even when the natural world is under your poetic microscope. Also, Robins are fabulous. Well done!
Beautiful, Andi! Your love of nature and birds shines through in the poem. Loved it!
Such a sweet sentiment... And I bet the animals do get confused when the weather doesn't feel seasonable. They know more than we think they do. Nicely done!
Awww, that felt so wonderful! Loved it!
