Just as the sun rises in the east
Flooding my world with light
Your smile lights the path
A path we now walk hand in hand
A journey that has just begun
Warmth radiates the sun as it rises
Warming my heart
Warming my mind
Hugging me tight
As you do when holding me in your arms
Another day has begun
Another day knowing you're mine
Another day knowing I am yours
Holding you in my heart
Even when you're far away
The day will come when you are back in my arms
Again holding you tight
Our past has had similarities
Which strengthens our bond
Strengthens our resolve to be one
While we have only just set out on this journey of life
I feel safe and comfortable in the knowledge of us
