Rising Sun

A Poem

By George GriffithsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

At the rising of the sun,

A new day has begun.

It’s gentle glow across the landscape,

Through the windows of homes.

The glimmering twinkle it creates upon the waters -

The little ripples show,

Each crinkle in the waters surface,

As if it’s paper rolling in the wind.

The rising sun,

It glimmers and glows,

Into the eyes of flying birds.

A beautiful picture,

A canvas almost!

The clouds pass in waves,

The orange and yellow turns the sky into a fiery sea.

A hearty pink begins to grow,

It spreads across the sky,

Making itself known.

The clouds now look like candy floss,

With yellow bows and orange millions,

A masterpiece of sugar art!

The rising sun,

A warm feeling of home.
