Ripple Effect:

I found a lens to another land,

It's through the waters of a pond I scan.

Every time I look upon its gleam,

I see a new world through reality's seam.

I reached out one day to touch what I viewed,

But the ripples started to destroy old and new.

A thousand plus two realms dissolved,

One by one I lost them all.

One world where everyone flew,

Another land where all ocean was the view.

A mystical bubble with dragon overlords,

A dimension filled with smart plants and more.

I lost each one faster than I could blink,

Each loss deeper made my heart sink.

Once the ripples reaped their toll,

Alone with my reflection I was on the watery knoll.

Infinite possibilities gone in an instant,

Now just alone with memories that feel distant.

Were they just figments of my dreams,

Sometimes reality is not what it seems.

I love your description of the fantasies slipping away from you. Being so big and then being so small - excellently written Tae! (Also guess who's catching up on her vocal readsssss)
