When it was all lost,

what did we say?

Will we admit that too great a cost

left in only darkness for us to play?

Look where it all got us, and the end of the day.

We did it all,

wrong or right.

We lost the daylight,

leaving us with nothing but night.

We did it all,

all that needed to be done,

forgetting in the end,

we weren’t the only ones under the sun.

Now watch as all their faces come to pass,

because we did it all,

right to the very last.

Their faces our price,

wretched and pained.

As they scurry like mice,

in a toxic rain.

It’s in the end that we will pay,

we did it all,

but we only did it our way!

Do you feel the pain in their eyes,

their wretched suffering,

we did it all, ending this place of cries.

Will we ever know,

more than this wretchedness,

We did it all, and it ended in this sorrow.

We did it all, but we did it our way,

and we did it knowing,

we would have to face this day.
