A grandpa monkey

and a couple of grands see

two grandgirls get to be

monkeys around Grandpa as he

insists right away on calling me,

Jules, and Rae his three

monkeys, climbing a tree

~

Oh, they went down to see

the river to find a bee

in a banana tree

that Grandpa monkey

was talking about as he

wanted to eat some honey

and would sacrifice his baby

to the bees for some sweets see.

~

Naughty Grandpa monkey

Santa won't bring candy

for him, and he is not happy

joyful or full of glee

He doesn't know how to be

a good Grandpa monkey

~

Grandpa, Grandpa the flying monkey!

As Jules is leaving she says, He

is the biggest monkey

in the world you see

He is not getting any candy

from Santa this year, no he

won't cause he is a monkey

A monkey is he! By monkey!

Authors Note: A day in my life. It can be cute for a while, but it gets old. He continues to call even the older grands monkey, his sister, and his nieces, and it starts when they are about two. Jules is 4 and Rae is 9. It is getting a bit old for me now. But occasionally I must share my life with the hubby and this is one of those times.

Love the rhyming and it does tell the story of grands and grandparents. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Oh I loved this. This was so fun, it made me feel as though I was outside running around playing like a child. I love the rhymes and the flow of this, the pace is fast and exciting. Your poem puts me in a good mood. ‘Sacrifice his baby to the bees for some sweets see’ 😂 I love this line so much. Grandpa sure is an annoying naughty monkey, why not call them something sweet instead lol. Again, this was a fun read and I liked it very much 👌🏽👏🏽🤗♥️
