There once was a bank with no money

It collapsed on a day that was sunny.

The bankers they ran

To the beach for a tan

While the government refinanced the funding.

~

There once was a bank that invested

In funds that were called into question

When finally it collapsed

It’s investors were trapped

But so far no one’s been arrested.

~

Was there ever a banker that said

With no money we’ll be in the red

And investing in bonds

With conservative odds

Avoided collapse of his debt?
