Vive la liberté

Jacobins, Girondins, hear Danton's debut

walk to the scaffold the crowd craves a view

hold up the head grinning Liberty's smile

Reign over your people with Terror so vile

An Angel of Death sits in Parliament Hall

Casting his judgement since King Louis' fall

This day's close confidant is tomorrow's fiend

Keep thoughts with your head if you know what I mean.

Light

How will we know when too late arrives?

Will light cease to be and will darkness thrive?

Is hope now of shield of steel or of glass?

Will we only find out once the stone has been cast?

The legends are gone your heroes have failed.

The end is so close, will evil prevail?

Not if we stand tall, unbroken, unbowed.

Hope is not gone. Its light's with us now.
