Dreams that come and go

Like water and like snow.

They return, but they have changed.

They’ve been more than rearranged.

I know you tattered cat -

2D, ragged, and flat.

It’s been years since you’ve come here;

Now, toward you, I have no fear.

There’s something about familiarity,

Bringing with it a new layer of clarity.

It’s curious to think I didn’t know when I went to bed

That I’d revisit an old realm inside my head.
