Rowdy Friday night,
waitresses scatter clumsily, aright.
Retirement party,
offering good wishes and laughter hardy.
Noises rise as people keep coming in,
will the food arrive, you wonder and grin.
Drinks all around,
your toes tap the ground.
From the chaos, wishing for an escape,
away from atmosphere, carnal and fake.
You glance out a nearby window,
through dramatically posing willow,
a gentle moon beams on your cheek,
he’s been playing hide-and-seek.
Feeling the homesick heavy depths,
whispering under your breath,
“Beam me up Scottie…”
You wink at the moon, the flirty hottie,
into the night clouds he whisks you,
through damp night air in shades of blue.
Higher than jaded civilization,
flying in peaceful sky as your faithful haven.

This is such a quirky! I too would rather be moon-whisked than stuck in small talk with tipsy coworkers.✨
I so love this, very impressive 😊
