Days don't add up
Everything’s blending together
Happiness that’s faked
smiles that are plastered
Slowly some of us become soulless
But for what cause?
It’s just a paycheck
Just a piece of paper
It says “you can buy this”
Or “hey look what you did”
But in the end does it matter
Does it really matter what you do
People will argue and get mad with you
Everyone has different standards
Yet companies are set in their ways
But why is there always one if not more
That's picks out you somehow
Is it because they are doubtful
Do they just hate you
Or are they just naturally like that
Day in and day out do they act like this
You do the same routine each day
You do what your expected and even more
For what purpose, what reward
At what cost do you sacrifice
It’s always two steps forward
For five steps back in life
But you know what I see
The misery hiding in all our eyes
