The sun's working her way
to the horizon
to light it up
my heart
my mind
my emotions
to set my soul
in motion with
the brightest hues
of Sunrise
she's seen me
meet her with
teary
bleary
weary
eyes
after a midnight
session
confession
to the moon
under a
starlit sky.

Such a gentle, luminous piece. I can almost feel the sunβs warmth matching the pulse of your emotions.
While the poem gestures toward renewal in general, it is anchored in moments or images that feel very concrete and personal. That bridging from the particular to the universal gives the poem both intimacy and expansiveness. Beautifully written
The moon is a better version of a catholic priest for confession. lol π
