Remember When

The Good Old Days Were Fun

By Darla M SeelyPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

Some people laughed until they cried.

They were horses some would ride.

Children loved to play in the sand.

Many played instruments in a band.

Children often got skinned knees,

Loved to climb high in trees

Teens hung onto the back of cars.

People slept under the stars.

Popular dolls were Barbie and Ken.

Comic books were popular then.

Songs were requested for radio stations to play.

People kept their doors unlocked every day.

In winter clothes were hung inside.

Sardines - a game where people would hide.

Nancy Drew - popular books I know.

We rode on inner tubes in the snow.

Hide and seek, kick the can was fun.

So was squirting others with a squirt gun.

With heads cut off, chickens ran around.

Siblings received clothes which were hand me downs.
