Growing up, she never liked clowns.
She didn't like how their emotions were hidden behind the paint on their faces.
She was uncertain of the clowns intentions because they acted as if they were on her good side, but their face was cold and emotionless.
The thing about clowns is they have a home,
They live in the circus and under her bed.
So she avoided the places they lived,
and double-checked under her bed before she went to sleep.
As she grew up unaffected by clowns, she entirely forgot about their existence.
Then she met you,
You seemed so nice and friendly,
You acted as if you were on her good side,
So when she avoided the circus,
And double checked under her bed,
She should have looked right in front of her instead.
- Reliving her phobia
