I have as many regrets

As have been the secrets

I've made as many mistakes

As I've profited from snakes

I've been as stubborn

As been recklessly driven

I've been as condescending

As my judgment never-ending

I've been as stupid

As many times there was Cupid

I've been as needy

By much more than just greedy

I've been as foolish

As many times I've been clueless

I've been as homicidal

As are there suicidal

Created as many crises

As my mind's eye sees

Hurt as many feelings

As have had double-dealings

Been as vain and nasty

As the book Ecclesiastes

.

Pray for me

.

But the future is as much

Part of my life that's in touch

With the man who can pause

The path of past, passed, that was

.

Keep praying for me

This poem serves as a stunning reminder of the complexity of the human experience by capturing the weight of previous mistakes and the raw honesty of introspection.
