Regret

For my person

I have not felt regret like this.

I have not felt despair like this.

I have not felt heartbreak like this.

I loved you with my entire heart.

You took care of me, made sure I was okay, made sure I always knew my worth.

Then I had to go and set boundaries for myself.

Boundaries that you didn't agree with.

I need you to know that despite not agreeing with them, I loved you with my whole being.

I cared about you more than you could ever know.

I will never get the chance to remind you of your worth, or tell you how stunning you are, or tell you how much I love you, again.

I miss you everyday.

I miss my best friend.

I miss my human diary.

I miss the one person who matched my energy.

I hope you knew I loved you, despite our last conversations.

Life is far too short for arguing.

I love you, my person, and I hope you rest peacefully.

It's the least you deserved.
