Regret

a poem

By Nizam Uddin ApouPublished about a year ago 1 min read

What was the need to send me to the world?

When I was meant to be a matter of regret.

I was always a failure as well as a loser,

And I will always be one.

My closed ones are disappointed with me,

As I am never capable of fulfilling their need.

Whenever they look at my face,

A sigh of despair emits from them automatically.

In every step I faced betrayal,

But I was sure to trust them blindly.

I get laughed, mocked frequently,

But I tolerate it considering as eternal punishment.

I want to question the God why He sent me to this hell,

Where I am not needed at all,

Where I am considered nothing but a burden,

I want to ask Him why He sent me to become only a sigh of regret.
