Setting Sun

Blue sky with the yellow pearl

Is engulfed by the azure setting

A moving reflection catches my eye

The yellow circle is slightly scattered

Squiggly lines of blue, green, and yellow

A motion of an ocean is my favorite commotion

The winds whisk up some clouds

As the ball lowers in the sky

Whisps of pinks and yellows

Cotton candy colors wiggling in the water

Colors brighten, lighten, and darken

Darken yellow, deep oranges, and flashes of red

I am met with gratitude for the mirror of it

There is perfection in the sky

Which is reflected in the ground below

As the colors dance and change places

The wonders of a darkening sky

As pinks become light purple

Hints of violet seep in

Blues turn into navy colors

While reds flash to bright lights

Colors fall into darker shades as the sphere in the sky

Disappears behind a horizon of mountains

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
