I looked into an old lady's face and glimpse mankind defenceless

no sadness, no repentance just simple acceptance

No joy no sorrow in her humble waiting for tomorrow.

I looked into an old lady's face and envied her grace.

I thought about Vietnam , Kashmir and those other wars

Hypocrisy , power , immigration laws

I thought about guntraders ' dealings and only white doors

agreements and treaties, political whores

I looked into an old lady's face and see humanity senseless

no freedom no guidance just an innate subservience no justice

no mercy in her work drudged life of poverty

I looked into an old lady's face and I wanted to cry ......

sad poetry
