Waiting on you is like trying to catch butterflies
in a net with no screen
Impossible, yet I hold it close
with the hope that you pass me by
I see reflections of memories
with every flash in the midnight storm
The booming sound of your voice
mixed with the rain on the covered porch
But now, all that is gone
and so are you
You were taken all too soon
yet here I am here, missing you
Alone with these reflections of memories
that haunts me even in my dreams
With a soft smile, I greet the storm
And whisper, “Goodbye,” as tears fall from my eyes
