I am trying to find myself in the mirror,

But I keep failing.

Standing amid the ruins of my past,

Still trying to figure out who I have become and why.

If you discovered what I did to survive,

Would you still look at me like you do now?

Will you be unmoved ?

Or will you be skeptical?

Can I entrust my vulnerability to you?

Uncertainty clouds my every emotion.

What are these fleeting thoughts that haunt me?

I often question myself.

Do my feelings hold significance?

The answer echoes in the void:

Silence.

Because I struggle to accept,

To comprehend that I am truly alone?

Isolated, forgotten, bereft.

Perhaps hope is nothing but a mirage,

A mere illusion, an elusive dream.

We hope for something to happen,

But it never does,

And we are left stranded, aimlessly adrift.

In the reflection of my own eyes,

I'm lost, conflicted, and consumed

By the sadness that seems to linger,

A weight that I cannot remove.
