In the days of men and horses

There was a lonely mare

Stumpy and weak

Wean from his mother

Yearning for his first rider

And a young boy named Redd

Happy and cheerful but

Without friends

For his birthday, his father

Took him to the horse ranch

He try and sat on all the up

And coming horses but they

Were not right, too tall and too Rudy but then at first sight their eyes locked on the mare and as he rode the mare they instantly lock hearts

Though it was not easy and they were stubborn and strong willed their relationship mature

One day years later his family wanted to sell the mare but Redd cried out against all odds and bargain to work for what he wanted

When his family fell on hard times again, Redd paid in advance working three jobs and his love for the mare grew. Unfortunately Redd got sick thinking he would never recover rode mare for the last time and he made a promise to his favorite pal as he brush his mane. Months passed he recover by the hand of a nurse, his new friend but mare forgotten about Redd and did not know all the savings he gave for him. And Redd came to see the mare with his new friend, taking time to remember and heal the mare did not allow his new friend to ride but he let her brush him.
