A Lipogram About My Period

By C.M. VazquezPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Context: Malinche (c. 1500 – c. 1529) was an enslaved Nahua woman who helped the Spanish conquistadores by acting as a translator for them. She was also a consort for Hernán Cortés. In Mexico, she is hailed as the epitome of betrayal, as these actions are considered a betrayal to her people.

Malinche.

That bitch.

Erratic, unreliable, trouncing on my melancholy day, opportunity making her grin, overwhelming me with grief, filling me with rage, murdering through my back, bleeding me until I am a heap on the ground.

I really hate my period.
