Red and Blue

My poem about a recent love of mine.

By NicholasPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Red and Blue

As those first notes of the soul strings were played,

Two hearts unfolded, red and blue pattern was placed.

Down,

onto the cloth of reality,

she sailed into,

The love, in her eyes, with a silent ship,

Swept clean - a soft finger,

Gleaned, of warmth,

And childish glimmer,

Forever, lingered,

Frozen in her mind,

A memory of winter,

A beautiful

dissection

of time.

As those first petals of your bouquet silently sailed down to earth,

Tear droplets fell from our eyes, to water our warm hearth,

Up,

Into the space of dreams,

We flew.

The lust, in our lungs, a tremorous chill,

Unleashed - a vice gripped,

It smiled, in control,

An adult pleasure,

Sometimes hindered,

The ice, soon melted, by the rising flames,

A memory of summer,

A perfect

Moment

Of ecstasy.

As the air of our spirits became interwoven,

In the lair of our minute, the endless ocean.

Our bodies like vine reeds,

Caressed and captured,

Our eyes like predator and prey,

Obsessed and relenting.

The warmth, in your heart,

Opened my chest,

Disarmed me of fury,

Taught me new glory,

Helped me restart.

I wish to never be apart.
