Rebooted

When we die, it’s as if our body gets rebooted in our souls, and our 2.0 version continues to serve its purpose in the next world.

"Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window."

Steve Wozniak

When the central processing unit

of your brain goes blank

and your body is being rebooted

through a copy and paste:

Your unique sense of self is shaped

like an office file from a mass storage drive

containing all your experiences

of a well-lived life. How can a spirit

carry a version of you into the USB

that is your soul? Perhaps, God's an IT technician,

and you, one of his finest AI achievements,

as the app of my mind downloaded your voice.

Grandpa, don't worry about never learning

to turn on a computer. I've got this!
