Reaching Out
I am reaching out for your love
a mother’s love, unconditional
but I am invisible
Can’t see me as I am
How could she turn, walk away
and leave me so all alone
out there in the cold?
I am reaching out to you
my higher power in this darkest hour
Won’t you please wash away
these tears I cry?
Take away my fears inside, I hide
I am reaching out for someone
to lend me a helping hand
Throw me a lifeline
before I drown in the despair
Won’t somebody, please, care?
I am reaching out to a world divided
asking for your help to save us from ourselves
So sad to see so many
suffering needlessly
I am reaching out to emptiness
Reaching out to loneliness
Longing for some happiness
I am reaching out to you
my higher power in this darkest hour
Please, wash away my tears I cry
Please, take away these fears inside, I hide
