You cannot escape me; you are mine,

I watch, I wait, hidden in your shadow.

Each fleeting glance sets my fevered heart aflame.

I leave a feather for you to find,

A crystal glints, a stone slips into your coat.

You cannot escape me; you are mine.

Your laughter rings, a thrill I cannot combat,

Each heartbeat strikes like a drum I cannot tame.

I watch, I wait, hidden in your shadow.

The world cannot see how much I adore you,

Your half-wilted roses, your chocolate-laced delight.

You cannot escape me; you are mine.

I trace your steps, each path a map, a format,

Each flutter of your hand sends my heart aflame.

I watch, I wait, hidden in your shadow.

At last, your eyes will catch the fire in mine,

The spark ignites, our darkness entwined, hallowed.

You cannot escape me; you are mine.

I watch, I wait, hidden in your shadow.

About the Creator

Donna K

I write where love and darkness intertwine in the quiet spaces where obsession is not a cage but a lantern, where madness is not an ending but a mirror. My work spirals through themes of devotion, identity, and the raw intensity being human
