Rare Breed

An Uncommon, Totally Common Dog

By Misty RaePublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

No fancy papers or storied bloodlines

Just big brown eyes and a ball of fur

A little of this, a little of that,

A dash of something else.

Three noble guardians of the flock in one.

Your smile lights up the darkest room,

A mix of undying love,

And funny-paper delight.

Constant companion and faithful friend

You're always by my side.

Feeling my pain, sensing my joy,

We cry and dance together.

Two hearts, through good times and bad

At rest and at play,

Loyalty and trust without end

Your humanity exceeds the human.

Capturing hearts wherever you go

Standing tall among your peers

More human than pup

More dog than human.

The questions are always the same

What is he? Can I have one?

Border-Pyrenees-Aussie Shepherd is way too much to say

He's Rudy, and there's only one.
