Rainbow Mind

My companion through thick and thin,

From the darkest, deepest, charcoal depths within,

You journey with me through this colourful rollercoaster,

Rejoicing with bursts of rainbow colours, as we overcome each bolster.

Delicate, like the petals of a rosy flower and so fragile,

you can be influenced by a word, a thought, a different shade of emotion, as you continue to stockpile,

holding on, for dear life as you take a bloody nosedive through your deepest, most colourful fears

and drag yourself through the infernos of hell and back as you lock yourself in this smoky, virtual prison

and scramble to find the path to greater shades of freedom and the right gears

that can brighten your horizon and change your entire direction.

Like the richest of tones, you are so strong,

When you’re with me and we’re on the same team, nothing can go wrong.

The Worlds biggest problems, wash away like watercolours, they cannot touch you,

as you sail together and rise through every virtue.

The Highest snow topped mountains can be overcome

With your mind as your greatest ally and most colourful chum.

Lessons of learning; like hues of colour, you have many,

The abundance of experiences can leave you with questions about your sanity,

Some uncover jewels of a greater kind,

Teaching you the powers of how to overcome the ‘blockages’ in your mind,

Some truths come down as heavy as a mallet,

Each one adding its own spectrum to your palette.

Your power is like no other,

You can trap me in the past or make me relive life in the shoes of another,

You can plunge me into darkness at a moments notice,

And make me spiral down the whirlpool that is my failures list,

Or you can lift me high into the brightest sky and have me soaring with the birds, in a place where there are no foes,

as we loop the loop around dazzling rainbows.

Simple tasks can become mundane chores,

unless I surrender my mind to the universal laws.

Practising Gratitude

Lifts my spirit a magnitude,

Eliminating the grey clouds overhead,

Allowing the sun to rise instead.

Life, through my minds eye, can be the most Beautiful of Treasures,

Fulfilling all of my wildest desires and pleasures,

Offering jewels of joy and love,

As we embrace the gifts that are sent from above.

As we ebb and flow through this colourful journey of life,

I learn that its better to have you on my side, right,

Otherwise we face a life of strife,

As we struggle to emerge from the darkness of night.

The truth is, the choice is mine, to get out of this black hole,

To stop myself from living in the burning fires of hell, where moments of numbness and stuckness swallow you whole,

To keep on moving forward with the hope of learning and building enough bridges

To one day be able to climb out of these ditches

And experience the supreme heavenly bliss that I find,

Comes from being the master of my mind.

Awareness is the key,

You see,

To keep building on this canvas of life

And layering the colour over the strife,

Until one day, the strife has gone

And all that remains is the feeling of being reborn.

Although you’re unique to me, my mind,

The experiences you give me have been lived and battled by others, I find.

I must learn, overcome and master the experiences you offer to me,

So that I can interpret, share and teach those that want to learn from me.

As, together, we can experience the sheer joys of life and rainbow bliss,

That occur when we allow the frequencies of the divine to align and where nothing is amiss.
