Rain Dance

A poem about freedom.

By Cheryl E PrestonPublished 29 days ago 1 min read

She listens to the sound of the rain as it falls

And knows that to her it beckons and calls

The gentle drops turn into a full downpour

That's her cue to head right out the front door

It's dark outside with no one else around

Her bare feet running across the wet ground

Never one to be bashful or afraid to take a chance

She lifts her arms and begins her rain dance

With head held high and eyes closed tight

Her body sways she twists and turns with all her might

She feels that this moment has been preordained

Just for her to be free dancing in the rain

For Fun
