Race of Life

What a thrilling ride?

Jump in a car named life

But how does it function

It gives you the illusion of control

Hit the gas for go

Everything seems okay

But then one day you hit a light that’s just about to change

On yellow for your warning

What’s ahead you subconsciously know

Make the turn and there is a deep fog

Some call it the wall of fear

But how can you make it disappear?

Just be brave and take the opportunity

Drivin’ slow because you don’t like the sound of “no”

Turns out it’s all just playing your emotions

Listen to the pulse of your heart

It gives the biggest hints

Time to match its pace

Looks like you’re in a high-speed chase

Can’t always see the way

It’s a feeling, a shot, you just got to take

Maybe your wall was longer or darker than others’

But if you made it out

That is the ultimate win

As the burning rubber and clouds settle

You relish in this moment

Cold milk and warm welcoming of friends, family, and fans

And tomorrow it all starts over again
