the people lost in accidents,
their lives shattered without warning.
*
the people lost to overdoses,
who searched for a relief that never came.
*
the people lost to suicide,
who fought their battles in silence, unseen until it was too late.
*
the people lost to gun violence,
their dreams silenced before they bloomed.
*
the people lost to war,
buried beneath rubble, ashes, and whatever else remains.
*
the people lost to hunger,
who struggled to keep surviving.
*
the people lost to hatred,
their spark burning out too soon.
*
the stories lost to time,
their pages left unwritten or erased.
*
the kindness lost to cruelty,
because society is changing us.
*
everyone that’s no longer here,
someone in the world misses you, regardless of anything you might’ve done.
*
all that could’ve been,
the unlived days,
the unsung songs,
the unfinished loves,
the unwritten books.
*
everything I failed to mention,
because there’s too much going wrong.

You know. I would never lie to you. I placed my hand on my heart and scrolled back up to the picture. You're making me feel stuff. Stuff that are very important to feel. I commend you for writing something this difficult. For having so much love and compassion for the people in the graveyard. I don't think most of us think this far. Their reason for death. I'm sorry but I couldn't hold it in when I got to the last line. This was more than good Luna. It's heavy because it's true. Everything you've said. Ugh!! This world will drive us all mad. Wait for it...😩😭😭 .... 🤗❤️
This seems to be a poem that describes living life in a way. Good job.
This was so poignant and emotional 🥺 Loved your poem!
