Quiet

I'll be just fine

The words spoken to me that day

The most honest words spoken

The true colors finally previewed

So bright and so clear

No blurs, no cracks.

Never an apology was given

nor accountability was taken

Spit lies into others ears

before even whispering in mine

The WORD wasn't even spoken

Is it so scary?

Running away was easy

Don't worry, I don't talk about it

A part of me was lost that night

But a version of me grew

The lessons were tough that month

Trust had no meaning

The truths turned out to be lies

"it would never happen to me"

Now that was a lie

'We were so close'

That statement proved me wrong

Funny, the word Slut made it that day

but the word 'sorry' did not

Even 'Friends' can do you wrong

But don't worry

I'm doing just fine.
