She was the undisputed Queen
Of hearts, of minds and all between
She wielded power like a blade
And always called a spade a spade
She sat upon her royal throne
Beautifully ornate, alone
Her subjects never went without
Their loyalty to her devout
Heavy was the crown she wore
Grand were the plans she had in store
She didn't need a King at all
So unexpected was her fall
He came on strong, was kind and sweet
His gilded words swept her off her feet
It wasn't long before he showed his hand
And robbed resources from her land
He tried to undermine her worth
Bled her dry of joy and mirth
Though she would never play victim
At times she wished freedom of him
As time marched on she made a plan
To disabuse the arrogant man
Of the notion that he could take
Her kingdom or that he could make
Her feel as if she were somehow small
It was obvious he knew not of all
The ways she'd built her arsenal
The armed allies she had on call
To fight until the bitter end
They'd sacrifice all to defend
They'd bring the mad King to his knees
Remind him of his vow of loyalty
If he wished to be restored
His best bet was simply to implore
His beautiful Queen him to forgive
Pledge his life, for her, to live
Her grace and mercy she would show
Throughout her Kingdom all would know
Her benevolence was astounding
The echoes of her love resounding
Restoring peace to her land and life
Respecting each other, man & wife
