The colour purple is rare, maybe it is by design

Other colours can't compare, to that of royal bloodline

We can see it crystal clear, when we look upon the sky

In the fleeting of sunlight, it may wave to us goodbye

The entire Earth may you look, high and low may you scour

The colour is truly rare, it possesses that power

However if you wake in, the early morning hour

You may find in your garden, the colour on a flower

At four-hundred-ten wavelength, it's lowest visible light

If it were any lower, would be out of our sight

If the colours were to race, purple would take the last place

It would not be a disgrace, as it launched in outer space

In space it would then travel, distances over yonder

Getting weaker as it went, through particles it wander

As the light begins to fade, and one begins to ponder

Worry not for I assure, its chance it did not squander

For somewhere in the distance, on some other alien world

A couple gazed to the sky, together as they were curled

They would capture the last sight, of truly amazing light

Although you may be skeptic, it truly is majestic

Purple danced upon their sky, as it waved to them goodbye

I didn't realize purple was so special-- that it had such a low wavelength. This was an awesome introduction for me to your art! A great poem! I'm Bill a.k.a. Bolt.⚡ I have subscribed to you.
