Purge The Soul

Heart in Hand

By Erik ubbinkPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Today, I failed at life. Woke up late, my body ached. Had nothing planned to do. Spend a lot of time lately just missing you. Life's got me tired, tired of fighting, tired of being wrong, tired of feeling like I don't belong. Didn't even get to smoke a bong, all's I've done is wRight this Love song.

I failed at life today. Can't even get out of my own way. Bill collectors calling since 2008. I just told them my payment might be late. I don't want to work till I can retire. I just want to live until I expire. No point in living to old age, if every time you turn the page. It's like living in a coma stage.

I failed to foresee the weather. To keep us together. This way kept the tether. Its you and me baby now, Dying is easy. It's living that's hard. On rainy days full of delays maybe I'm undecided gotta look both ways. It's a narrow crevasse. I'm sneaking out. Cloaked beneath the fighting shout. I live in chaos its my norm. Hold my hand get ready for the storm!
