Twelve thousand rays
Passed through me
Words of engulfing white light
Purity dripping from
Your wit-sharpened knife
I throw myself on
The mercy of your love
Shedding tears of relief
My loneliness died that day
Sacrificed at your feet
Rays born of the light of love
Shining down upon me
I pray you do not depart my life
Leaving me to grope in shade
Bless me with one glancing breath
A single stroke of your lashes
Creates a sufficiently cooling wind
I promise to be chaste and true
Always to your one last chances
and last night's dreams
I listen well, I promise you
Itβs only in the follow-through
Where I lack abundant gumption
To perfectly observe rigorous instructions
Never would I knowingly
Cause your heart to gasp or ache
Pure intentions are my only gift
Spoken words with a heart of truth
If ever you doubt, or seek shoring up
I spout an endless fountain
Of soul-healing words

This is beautiful the way you weave light and love together feels so tender and alive. I love how each line carries such deep feeling like a gentle promise and a heartfelt prayer all at once.
