Too Young To Die

By Michelle WilliamsPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

As time flies by as we question each other why?

Why must our loved ones go into transition?

Why in the world is there so much opposition?

Does the love we have for each other suddenly disappear

Or has the influence of society instilled hate, doubt and fear?

A young queen or young king with so much spunk and crazy potential

Cheated out of life, peace, joy and the chance to becoming successful

See, our young don't live until they're old anymore

They're told to hang in there, live life, fight and never fold, good things are in store

All the while living in a place where life has become a battlefield

Where things you once were sure of no longer feels real

Being led to a point where things are no longer under your control

Having no choice but to sit and watch everything in life unfold

Bullying, drugs, and violence are amongst several reasons

As to why our young are leaving this earth, targeted as if it's open season

As you have heard before "the enemy only comes to steal, kill, and destroy."

So many things in life, never getting to enjoy

No matter what one would say… Never be afraid

To call upon and pray to the most high… See Homicide, Suicide, "Wrong place, Wrong time".... is taking too many that are too young to die
